Why Fearne Cotton shared our World Food Day campaign

We couldn’t resist sharing with you the triumphs of our recent digital campaign called #DigInWomen for World Food Day.

Farmers, foodies and famous faces including Fearne Cotton, broadcaster, writer and TV personality, came together to raise awareness and take action for people facing hunger. Is there anyone you recognise?

Centred on female farmers facing poverty, our online campaign reached thousands of people who came together to donate the cost of their dinner.

Did you see the ‘spice up your rice’ challenge unfold? Celebrity chef and the Telegraph food columnist Claire Thomson led the way, check out her entry here.

Jane Beedle from the Great British Bake Off make a sensational flapjack recipe which was exclusively available on our website.

Thanks to the funds raised, women who face a daily struggle to feed their children will be able to build a sustainable, profitable farming businesses.
