We’re thrilled to welcome Davison Rakasi to the team at MicroLoan Foundation Malawi. On 1st November, Davison joined us as CEO, and has already hit the ground running.

Davison is an accomplished executive with over 15 years’ experience in banking and microfinance. Davison is currently the Chief Executive Officer at MicroLoan Foundation Malawi. Prior to joining MicroLoan Foundation, Davison worked as Interim CEO at Vison Fund Malawi after gaining significant exposure to operations, technology deployment, sales & marketing, strategy development, and project management in his previous role as Chief Operations Officer.

In his career to date, Davison has held various roles where he was responsible for leading initiatives that strengthened organisational risk management and compliance, as well as customer acquisition and retention. Davison holds a BSc in Accounting and an MBA from Malawi Institute of Management.

Davison shared his excitement, “With social impact at it’s heart, I am delighted to join such a dedicated and capable team, especially at such an exciting time. Operations in Malawi are already on a growth trajectory, with impressive progress in rolling out the centre model, and mobile money. MicroLoan Malawi is positioned to reach more women in 2023 than ever before, more women that will be able to provide for their families and keep their children in school. I am thrilled to contribute to this mission and can’t wait to get started.”

Medha Wilson, Group Chief Executive Officer said, “Davison’s skills and experience will serve to strengthen our partnerships and amplify our impact. I am looking forward to seeing what he and the Malawi team can achieve together in the months to come.”
